How are you doing?
This is my first ever blog post and my second ever website (we’ll get to that later, in another post). Over the years I have written in journals and more recently online journals as a way to destress and get my thoughts out on paper. I find it to be therapeutic and it let’s me know if I’m being a drama queen or not. Although this won’t juat be about me moaning and ranting so don’t let that put you off. I am hoping to get your thoughts and advice on the new activities that I’ll be attempting and we can get to know each other a bit more at the same time.
So this blog will be about trying new things and stepping out of my comfort zone. I like the idea of trying new things, however when it comes down to it I chicken out when it gets close to having to actually try new things. The idea is always way more appealing than the act. So having a blog online that others can read will hopefully keep me in check, my awkwardness will kick in and make me do it.
I have always been a bit awkward with new people and in new situations. The last few years I have been actively trying to meet new people and do new things. I’ve met my partner, moved from my mother’s house, I’ve travelled a lot more the last few years. I’ve done a variety of online courses in search of that “perfect” job and all this whilst having a full time job. The point I’m getting at here is that it’s never too late to start something new. Stop thinking about it and just do it. Even if you don’t end up with that job you’ll still get that sense of achievement and it could push you do other things, that you may never have thought you could do.
On a random note. I feel like this squirrel sums me up perfectly. I’m always there but just on the outside not knowing if I should take the risk and strike up a conversation or not.
Now that we have been introduced why don’t you tell me a bit about yourselves in the comments?
